Save & Resume Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Save & Resume Chrome extension ("Save & Resume", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the extension.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following data to provide the extension's core functionality:

2. How Information Is Collected
- When you sign in using Google through the extension popup.
- When you save or update timestamps on YouTube pages.
- When the extension syncs local data with Firebase Firestore.
3. How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and maintain signed-in sessions.
- Store, retrieve, organize, and sync saved timestamps.
- Migrate legacy local data to cloud storage when you sign in.
- Operate and secure the extension.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the extension:
- Google Identity / OAuth services for sign-in.
- Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for authentication and sync storage.
5. Data Retention
- Local extension data remains until you clear extension storage or uninstall the extension.
- Cloud timestamp data remains in Firestore until it is deleted through extension actions or support request.
- Auth session data is cleared locally when you sign out.
6. Data Security
We use authenticated access controls and Firebase security rules intended to restrict each user to their own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use commercially reasonable measures to protect data.
7. Your Choices and Controls
- You may sign out at any time from the extension popup.
- You may remove saved timestamps and categories inside the extension UI.
- You may uninstall the extension to remove local extension data.
8. Children's Privacy
Save & Resume is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International Users
Your information may be processed in countries where Google and Firebase infrastructure operates.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date.
